Dedicated to the Gaelic Language of the Isle of Man

Culture Vannin runs a free translation service for on-Island use. We use the expertise of several translators and work with Coonceil ny Gaelgey – a sub-committee of Culture Vannin – to achieve a workable standard for official use. We will endeavour to provide a translation within five working days of your request although sometimes longer may be required; if so, we will inform you of this on receipt of your query.

We aim to support Government Departments and Local Authorities in regards of the 1984 Select Committee Report on the Use of Manx and will work with all individuals and organisations to come up with creative solutions to translation requests.

In the first instance please contact translations at for information and assistance.

Thank you for supporting the language and thinking about using Manx Gaelic: It does make a difference.

Gura mie eu!
