An exploration of one of the Isle of Man's great Manx Gaelic place names; Ballabeg.

Probably the most common word in place names across the Isle of Man is 'balla.'
This can be found in the majority of the Island's farm names and a large number of other places around the Island, like at Ballabeg.
But what does the word mean, and what does it tell us about the place...?
