Arrane Son Mannin - competition

Are you a songwriter? Would you like the chance to represent the Isle of Man at the Pan Celtic Festival in Ireland this April? Each year, an original song in Manx is chosen to be performed in Ireland, and 'Arrane son Mannin' (A song for Mann) is a competition to choose the winning song!

After having been run by Fiona McArdle for a number of years, this year's 'Arrane son Mannin' is run by Yn Cheshaght Ghailckagh, and will be held at 7.30pm on 18th January (2025) at the Masonic Hall in Peel. Free entry! The deadline for entries is 20th December.

Don't worry if you sing, but don't have enough Manx to translate your song yourself - free help is available! The winner(s) of the competition will be entered into the Pan Celtic Festival in Carlow, Ireland, which takes place between 22nd - 26th April 2025. Travel and accommodation will be provided.
